Build around email

Turn incoming email into product data your team can understand and use.

Receive messages for application accounts, organize them into mailboxes, read them through familiar clients, and connect them to records and workflows.

01Make inbound mail actionableStore messages where application workflows can reach them.
02Support familiar mail clientsExpose stored mailbox state through IMAP.
03Connect communication to the customerRelate messages, files, accounts, and follow-up actions.
Why it matters

Email becomes more valuable when it stops being an isolated inbox.

A support request, order reply, document, or approval may arrive by email. If the mailbox lives outside the application, people copy information into records and lose the relationship between the message and the work it started.

Daptin can receive SMTP mail for configured accounts and store mailbox and message records. Compatible IMAP clients can read and manage that stored state, while actions and application relationships can build workflows around it.

Attachments can use the same file and cloud-storage foundation as other product content. Outbound work can enter a persisted queue instead of disappearing into an unobservable send call.

01

Bring communication into the system of work

Make a received message available to product records and actions.

02

Let existing clients participate

Use IMAP for familiar mailbox access while the backend retains the data.

03

Build a complete response path

Connect incoming mail, templates, actions, outbox processing, and delivery history.

How it fits

Part of one connected backend.

Mail server does more when it can reuse the records, people, access rules, and workflows already in your application.

Step 1Receive

The configured SMTP listener accepts mail for an application account.

Step 2Store

Create mailbox and message records with their content and metadata.

Step 3Access

Let permitted application or IMAP paths read and manage the mail.

Step 4Act

Relate, respond, queue, or trigger product work from the message.

What it enables

Use it in products people recognize.

Start from the experience you want to create; the backend capability supports the work behind it.

Support by email

Turn customer messages into cases and follow-up actions.

Document intake

Receive attachments and connect them to the right account or process.

Team mailbox

Keep shared communication available to authorized operators and tools.

Know the boundary

What Daptin leaves in your hands.

Operating internet mail requires DNS, MX routing, reverse DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, reputation, spam and abuse controls, port access, monitoring, and backup. Daptin supplies mail capabilities, not managed deliverability.
